Often wood sill and sash rot can be repaired at a substantially lower cost than replacement windows. If the rot damage is too extensive, however, replacing the window may be a more practical and cost effective approach. We pioneered and specialize in wood rot repair extensively using high quality, non-wood exterior materials (cellular PVC) wherever possible, practical and available. We are the leaders in repairing damaged sills on wood window products built after 1980.

We developed our repair of wood window rot skills in 1985. The EPA determined the wood preservative Penta- was hazardous and banned it from use in window and door products. In the early 90's the advent of paintable non-rotting exterior products became available and we quickly adapted use to maximize the life of the repair. The moulded products look like the original factory profiles so the rebuilt sill maintains the look of the original window in most cases.
